Hamburger Rice Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked instant or regular rice
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 can beans pinto, kidney, or black
  • 1 can broth beef or chicken
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 TBSP chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package directions

  2. In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until no longer pink; drain

  3. Stir in rice, beans, broth, tomato sauce, and spices

  4. Heat through and simmer for 10 minutes

  5. Sprinkle with cheese when serving
