Saltine Cracker Toffee

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 40 saltine crackers
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • sea salt (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

  2. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil and grease with butter or oil

  3. Fill cookie sheet with saltines

  4. Boil the butter and sugar in sauce pan until caramelized in color

  5. Pour over the crackers and spread evenly

  6. Bake crackers for 3-5 minutes until bubbling

  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips

  8. Once melty, spread evenly

  9. Sprinkle with sea salt if desired

  10. Chill in freezer for 20-30 minutes

  11. Break apart and enjoy
